As I mentioned before in my website that I won't include any fancy update or new additional stuff from Vista in this release, here's its key update for RC1:
QUOTE
This release will cover on new system files replacement system which should be 100% working fine as far as testers reported. It also have huge improvements regarding setup integration and uninstallation. I made various bug fixes for setup integration which should work much better than version 5.5 and added more options about uninstallation for system files. You can choose to restore system files from setup CD now! You might not know uninstallation will automatically reserve file that has different file version in case you uninstall after applying Windows Update. Now you can choose not to reserve it if you want.
Changes in Version 6.0 RC1 -Added browsable System files source for uninstallation so user can restore original system files from setup CD during uninstallation -Added fixing file's PE checksum after resource patching to keep files more secure -Added Launch &Maintenance Center in transformation destination in case user already have transformed the system -Added missing modifype.exe for Windows XP operating system -Added partially x64 support for Vista visual stuff but not for system files (experimental) -Added option to reserved updated system files after uninstallation or not -Added skipping system file verification patch on setup integration -Fixed bugs caused by deleting important files from integration after transformation -Fixed bugs in file-patching engine for uxtheme.dll and resources data -Fixed themes uninstallation problem (Themes still exist) -Fixed user picture's frame border disappearance in logon screen -Removed manual transformation and let user decide to modify system files or not instead -Removed un-neccessary system files operations -Updated final Vista sounds scheme -Updated Glass2k install option to acknowledge about possible system slow down -Updated system files transforming method to use PendingFileRenameOperations trick -Updated updating the transformation to act like never applying the transformation before -Updated visual styles |-Fixed ToolbarBackground sizing mismatched from real Vista style |-Fixed CaptionButton alignment problem when maximized in Vertical shellstyle WindowBlinds theme |-Fixed shellstyle background color mismatch in Aero Style (Vista - Beta 2) in some areas I know it sounds not really excited but that's what RC stands for. If you want to have really great update for new stuff and resources, wait for final version. This release is for testing the new prototype system to ensure user's system safety. If you're willing to help me testing it, download it from below. Download: Vista Transformation Pack 6.0 RC1 Mirror: SatZoom.com (Provided by Saftawy) Str84ward PCs (Provided by str84ward) SoftVisia (Provided by Tragedy) Softpedia MD5 Hash for proper executable file (not archive): BFEF2A4A1634CC540E6B26B5848A2F70 If it doesn't match with your downloaded file, it might be older version which has endless loop bug at 86% of installation or it even might be infested by malware or virus. P.S. If it screws your machine, don't complain, ok? lol...just kidding (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) |

I do not know what folder to select for setup files so I left blank and said that my Windows setup folder is empty! What do I do? why did it ask you for setup files? during installation all you needed to do is let the installer decide, and it does its work. only problem is getting it to install, hopefully it gets sorted out soon (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

Thanks. It was done when I'm sick so I might passed out for sometimes to forget something. Now I fixed endless modifype.exe loop during finalizing the transformation. I'm uploading the proper version right now. Tested and worked fine here so it should be fine with you too.
